Based on Robert Fulghum’s best-selling books, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten (from this point forward referenced as, “AIRNTKILIK”) takes a funny and insightful look at what is profound in everyday life, featuring theatrical storytelling in revue format with monologues, dialogues, and multiple voice narration. The delightful stories feature colorful characters such as a shy little boy who insists on playing the “pig” in his class production of Cinderella and steals the show, and a man whose dreams of flying carry him high over Los Angeles … in a lawn chair buoyed by surplus weather balloons. These stories celebrate our very existence, from the whimsy of childhood to the wisdom of old age.

During this summer camp, students will study scenes from AIRNTKILIK, learning characterization and the basics of character work. They will prepare select scenes, as well as work on all their own costumes, props, and sets, for a final revue for family and friends. This camp is a great introduction to many theatre basics! Your student must bring their lunch every day. Performances will be on 8/2 at 7:00 PM and 8/3 at 1:00 PM. 15 spots available.
