A very popular competitive high school activity, show choir truly captures the art of performance by incorporating singing, dancing, and acting! Students will participate in a three-day workshop that introduces them to show choir and allows them to learn a “mini” set consisting of an opener and closer with dancing and a ballad in between. They will learn music in parts with harmonies as well as intermediate level choreography that advances their dance skills. Along with song and dance, a show choir set should also tell a story. Students will get to engage their creative side by helping come up with costume and acting ideas that better convey the story of the songs. At the end of the three days, there will be a showcase open to the public where the students can show off all of their hard work and perform their set! 15 spots available.
