Theatre Camp – Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland will focus on teaching character acting and theatre etiquette using an original play adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s novels Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There as a vessel to learn the skills needed to take on roles largely different from ourselves (unless your student happens to be a teleporting cat, which, if so, there is a specific role for them). The camp will consist of a readthrough/audition, a week of rehearsals, and two shows. Each student will be assigned a part (or parts) to explore, and the camp will culminate in a performance of the play for family and friends on the Black Box Main Stage. This camp is perfect for any young actor looking to learn new skills and expand their range, regardless of experience. The student must bring their lunch every day. Readthrough Monday, June 5 at 5:30 PM. Performances June 16 at 7:00 PM and June 17 at 2:00 PM. 16 spots available.
