THROUGH THE WARDROBE: Narnia Audition Workshop

Planning to audition for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe? Join us for an hour-and-a-half workshop designed to help you walk through the wardrobe and into auditions feeling prepared, confident, and ready to make strong choices!

Students should come prepared with a 1-2 minute monologue they plan to use at auditions. Please have this monologue PRINTED OUT so you can physically make notes. We will work to strengthen monologues through character choices, intention, physicality, and connection. Students who are still struggling to find the right monologue can also receive help selecting material, although we strongly encourage everyone to arrive with a piece already chosen, if possible.

We will also step inside the creative vision for our Narnia and explore what the team will be looking for throughout the audition process. We’ll discuss the characters, experiment with the physical world of Narnia, talk about how to approach cold reads, and chemistry work.

Students interested in being considered as featured vocalists for our pre-show and/or bows will also learn more about what we are looking for vocally and how the optional vocal portion of the auditions will work.

This workshop is not required to audition, and attendance does not guarantee or influence casting. It is simply an extra opportunity to prepare, experiment, ask questions, and get some of those audition nerves out of the way before the big day.
